Jacksons Special Day

My baby turned 8 last month, and yes, it has been hard. Jackson is turning out to be such an incredible little guy with a heart of gold! He is such a blessing to me and our family. This year, we have been holding off on his birthday party until Scott gets his pool fixed so we can have a swimming party. But we did sneak in a fun night on his birthday with a dinner celebration for him and my friend Deborah, who just happens to share his birthday, with the Phairs and Deardens. Then we went over to Boondocks and played mini golf and did the race track with James, Julie, Brad, Ericha, Jackson, and myself. Then on June 5th, Jackson was baptized. What a remarkable day for our family and Jackson. I was truly humbled by all the friends and family who came to share in this great day with us. A big shout out to Brianna & Zane for saying prayers, Diana & Steve for doing such a great job with the talks (Jackson actually remembers what you both talked about!), and to the Bishop and Stevie Schwartz for singing with James and Jackson and bringing the Spirit so strongly into the room. I also want to thank "Little Grandpa" and Grandpa McBride for being the witnesses. James did a great job on the blessing and there wasn't a dry eye in the place by the time it was finished. I can't believe how blessed I am to be the mother of such a marvelous young boy. I love you Magoo! Happy 8th Birthday!
