Julie turned 9 years old on December 12th and what a birthday she had!!! We went to dinner at one of our favorite restaraunts with my Mom and Bugs. Julie opened all of her presents and got everything her little heart desired and more! Then, the real party began. The Deardens and many other families, graciously invited us to come along on their Polar Express excursion. All the kids were in their pj's and loaded up on the Polar Express!!!! (No, not the one in Heber, but the Frontrunner) We sat in the car that is older than the rest and has older brown seats. They made personalized tickets for each child and the conductor came and punched everyone's tickets. Then off we went! We sang carols and enjoyed each others company on the ride there. Then, we got off and who was waiting for us....SANTA! He gave each of the kids a bell, made the kids sing Happy Birthday to Julie, and took pictures with each one of us. He was GREAT! Then we all loaded back up and read Polar Express, ate cookies, and drank hot chocolate on the ride home. It was a great experience and we loved each minute of it! Thanks for the invite everyone and I hope that you invite us again on one of your field trips!
I just want to take a minute and mention how much we love Julie. We are so proud of the young girl she is becoming! She is blossoming in all the right ways. She sticks up to bullies for her friends, helps take care of children and loves them like they are her's, and excels in school. She has a simple but deep love of the gospel and bring a smile to all of our faces. Thanks for being so incredible Goose! We are so blessed to have you in our family!!!!
