Memories
We just had some friends over that brought back a ton of memories for James, Jeffrey & myself. As soon as Tim said his name, it was like Jeffrey knew instantly who he was and what a huge impact he was in his earlier years. It was funny at first to see Tim walk in with a police badge and handcuffs. If you would have told me 11 years ago that Tim would be a police officer I am pretty sure I would have laughed in your face! But the amazing thing is, it fits him now. He is so comfortable with his career choice and LOVES his job. Then McKell walked in and I could tell that she is a great mom to their two adorable girls. They are so cute and I loved watching them interact with my kids. Their youngest was right there with Jeffrey talking to him, playing with him, trying to get him to talk back to her. Then their oldest helped me take a phone call and it made me laugh. I love kids!
Seeing this great family brought back a flood of emotions for me. I remember walks to the school yard with the boys while Rich and Ben would stay at home and talk with James and Jeffrey. I remember them helping babysitting Jeffrey and taking him to the mall. I remember Tim's grin from ear to ear when he was leaving for his mission and again when he came home. I remember how happy he was when he made the decision to marry McKell. And I will never forget him being there for our family during some shakier times in our lives. His quiet personality, but quick to have fun attitude is one that I look up to so much. He doesn't let much bother him but even if it does, he holds it in and is quick to forgive.
It is great to see someone that I have missed in our lives come back and to see him with a wife he loves and a family that he is excited to spend time with. We are excited to be back in touch with them and hope that we will never lose that contact again. They are fun to be around and our kids love theirs. Thanks for the visit Tim and McKell, it brought a smile to all of our faces!

Holy crap I can't believe in the time that it took us to drive home you had this already written up!!! You are superwoman!!! It was great to see you guys I hope we do it alot more in the future! I want to give a special thanks to 'Betty Crocker(James)' for the yummy brownies! We love you guys!
I am glad you guys got to hang out. It sounds like it was a load of fun. Am I jealous though? Of Course I am, my best friends are hanging out without me. Well I have so many fond memories of our time together as well. It was a very care-free and fun time in my life. I definately miss those days. It must be weird sitting there, some 10 years later with families and additional members of families. I think if we were to have guessed back then, where we all would be today, not one of us would have even came close. That is what makes this life so exciting though, unpredictability. I must admit that there seems to be a scrawny dude in that second picture who looks quite clueless. Not much has changed there. Also I can't help but notice James holding a can of Spaghetti-ohs that may have been shared with a single spoon fashioned from some tin foil. Mmmmmm, regurgitation and cross contamination. Cheers guys, and try not to have too much fun without us, that just isn't cool. Only kidding of course! Miss ya!
