Front Runner delights!

First and foremost, I love the year round school year. It's been fun to have some one on one time with Julie and Jackson. We have been able to do some fun things during the day that we would not have had the chance to do if they were in school. We rode down and had lunch with Grandma & Grandpa Little (great grandparents). We had the best time tearing down the wallpaper and paste off the walls in Julie's room. (We laughed so hard that day!) And today, we took a trip on the Front Runner! The kids have been begging to do this for two weeks now and even though I REALLY should be doing other stuff, I couldn't resist. After missing the first train because the dumb computer wouldn't work for me to buy our tickets, we got on at noon and headed north. I was surprised at how nice everything was and the ride was very smooth. The kids and I had a great talk about which direction was north and which was south and they learned about all the different cities between here and Ogden. (Julie let me know that Clearfield had the biggest parking lot because that's the only thing that is exciting in the whole city.) We were the only ones on the top car heading north and the view of the river was breathtaking. Then, James picked us up and we went to lunch and then headed to Fat Cats so the kids could play two games each. (Big spenders, that's us!) Then the kids and I got back on the train and headed south and home. They loved every minute of it and to be honest, so did I! My 3 kids make each day a new adventure and just when I think that I couldn't love them anymore, they smile a certain way or say something silly and I feel my heart grow that much more. They are growing so fast and I am trying to savor every minute I spend with them because I don't want this time to pass me by. Thanks for one of the best lunch dates ever Goose and Magoo!

Just a side note, I loved Conference. There were so many amazing talks and everything seemed to hit to the core of what we all needed to hear at this time in the history of the world. Two favorites were Sister Dalton and Elder Wirthlin. Both brought such a smile to my face and timely messages to my heart. It's amazing how I need to hear such great talks every 6 months to "fill my cup".

Luckily my kids dont see the front runner since we arnt down there that often. I loved those two talks as well. One statement I noticed in a lot of the talks is "Oh lord where art thou" Im guessing a lot of people are in need lately.
