So once again, James fell into peer pressure. This morning he woke up and joined 9 other guys on a 100 mile bike ride. He did great and actually feels really good. He keeps telling me that it is a heck of a lot easier than a marathon. Then, he got home, rested in our driveway with Woolley and Jared, and their cheering fans, for 45 minutes and then all 3 changed and went and played flag football. James was pretty scared to run because he didn't want to tweak his body in anyway, but that didn't stop him from outrunning Schwartz for a touchdown....Sorry Bishop!
Jackson had the best soccer game he has ever played today. My poor son, we send him such confusing signals about life! We try to teach our children to be polite, nice and not to hurt other people, then we get frustrated with Jackson when he gets on the field and isn't aggressive because "I don't want to hurt anyone!". James and I talked to him this week about getting in there more and no being afraid of hurting anyone but also purposefully not pushing or tripping people. (It even sounds confusing to me!) Well, whatever we said, it worked! He was more aggressive and ran faster than most of the other boys on his team. He did so great! Good job Magoo!
Now for some rambling about something that has been bothering me. I am so bothered by President Bush and this 700 billion dollar package. Is it just me or does the idea of saving banks so that they can extend more credit to us seem crazy? Isn't credit and debt what got us here in the first place? People trying to purchase homes they knew they couldn't afford? To quote a favorite person of mine,"I may not be a expert, but I am a thinker!" and I think this is the dumbest idea I have ever heard! I have a plan that would save us if anyone is interested but I won't post it here and bore everyone. James is sick of hearing about this because I am so frustrated and I rant about it a lot. I can back President Bush on a lot of things but this is ridiculous! Just a thought from a substitute teacher, stay at home mom, house wife.
*As a side note, it is great to reconnect with "old" friends! We have missed you all so much and it is great to hear from you all!!!!!! Keep on writing!

Hey guys,
Wow! Have I missed you guys TONS! I think about you guys still all the time! And I am not just saying that. I would love to get together with you guys and catch up on life.
I am amazed at how big your kids have got! They are so grown up, I hardly recognize Jackson.
Yeah & how do you explain not to hurt anyone but stick up for yourself at the same time. I have a hard time with that one too. Im am troubled by a lot going on right now. I can see why the church has been pushing provident living harder.
