Crazy insaneness....

Last Saturday morning, Marcie, mom, a bunch of women from my neighborhood and myself had a 5K fun run. I did horrible and I couldn't figure out why it out since I have been training and even though I am still VERY slow and need to walk a lot, I am usually faster than I did. I came home and slept and slept. I ended up waking up that night sick with the flu. James woke up on Sunday and decided that he would still take the kids to Stake Conference at Layton High. Right after the opening song and prayer, Julie looked over at James and told him she was sick. He rushed all the kids outside where Julie threw up on the stairs. James put on Jeff's brakes and ran her over to the railing. While he was holding her, Jeffrey took off his brakes and rolled himself down the cement stairs. He landed on his face with the wheelchair on top of him. James went to him and he was seizing. Plus, he had blood all over him. To make a VERY LONG story short, Julie had the flu, I had the flu, and Jeffrey ended up with a swollen face, road rash, he lost the bottom half of one of his front teeth, and it looks like he has a bad sprain on his left wrist. Actually, it is a lot better than what it could have been. I am sending you his pics but they don't do the injuries justice. I'm telling you though, he is the toughest kid on the planet. The doctor was trying to figure out what was broken because he wouldn't use his hand and the whole time he is grabbing and proding him, Jeffrey is just smiling, even though the wrist was broken. He even got the flu on Monday and did fine with it. I am just amazed at the level of pain he can manage. On Saturday, James performed two songs with the Righteous Brethren and Sister Jan again. And once again, they rocked! If you want to see the videos of these performances, check out http://www.mcbridefam.org/?page_id=8. I think I am finally caught up on this! YEAH! Talk to everyone soon! Lots of Love and all that good stuff!
