Enough with the Downers.....Time to Smile!

Alright, so the last two posts have been very mellow posts, it's time to put a smile on your face and mine! Jackson was a golden gargoyle in his school opera this year. I love this program and I love Jacksons teacher! She has become such a great friend to our entire family. She makes us all love her because of her wit and humor. VR, you are the best! Anyway, there was supposed to be two golden gargoyles in the play but due to a sickness, Jackson ended up being the only one. I was so scared for him! He had to sing a solo and he rocked it!!!! We were all so excited. We weren't allowed to video the actual performance at night BUT I did get a video at the dress rehearsal. He did a lot better at the actual performance but this is a good sampling of his solo.

There were a lot of people there to support Jackson as well. My mom and Scott came but had to sneak out early. I was babysitting our niece, Winter, who was 7 weeks old and she was a great source of happiness to Jackson that night. Grandma & Grandpa McBride were also there and we were excited to have them join us!

I also wanted to post a video I took of Julie and Jackson last night. Julie is taking cheerleading right now and loves it! In her little cheer class, they are learning a cheer called Cheerleading Daddy. I am sure that a lot of you will remember seeing commercial at one time or another but in case you haven't, here is a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTIzjVxvV2U Well, Julie was supposed to bring a boy with her to class to do this cheer with her. James had a YM commitment so Julie took a VERY reluctant Jackson. (The poor kid!) Here is the cheer they learned at that class. And for all of you who would love to see a video of James doing this cheer with Julie, don't worry, I am going to do my best to get one!

I will post of pictures of James and his race this Saturday! I am just hoping that it isn't like last year and I get fried again! We are hoping for nice weather and no bloody nipples. What more could a runner ask for? GO THUNDERING HERD!!!!!

Jackson makes such a cute gargoyle. He did a great job. I love the cheer! I love that you can see Julie's enthusiasm and Jackson's reluctance as they perform!
And about the race, I better not get bloddy nipples either.

Jackson is a champ by helping Julie with the routine, and then having to do an unexpected solo. What a kid. Hope you guys are well
