Tales of Some Off-Track Children

This is our last week off track and we have a lot of fun stuff planned for the weekend BUT when Marcie asked us to go see Bedtime Stories, we just couldn't pass up the chance! First, we had a nutritional lunch at Taco Time.
(Sorry I cut off your face Logan!) Then we went to the Kaysville Theater. I have to tell you, I think this is the best place to save yourself from the horrible prices you pay at the regular theaters. It cost $6.....yes, $6 to get the three of us in and then I paid another $9 for a large popcorn, two bug juices, and a large drink.

James and I hit one movie a year if we are lucky but since we have re-discovered the Kaysville Theater, we have seen 3 movies in the last 7 months. It has to be a record for us! We also love hanging out with Logan & Bugs! (B is in St George with a friend for Spring Break.) They make us laugh and are some of our best friends (which works out well since they are our cousins!)

We went and saw Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler. We all loved it! It was original, funny, and well done. The kids repeated one-liners all the way home. It was a great show and I would highly recommend it. I am giving it a 4 star rating. Not too shabby!
Then they came back to our house and played Guitar Hero World Tour. It was a lot of fun and there is no greater way to instill a love of 80's rock in a child than with Guitar Hero. Here's a sampling of how wonderfully they all played! Watch to the end and see how well they all know the song.

Thanks Marcie, Logan & Bugs for a fun afternoon! We had a great time!

I love that they know the words to Livin' on a Prayer! You guys are cool. I also can't believe how big your kids are getting. I live down the street from you and yet they seem to get bigger and bigger every time I see them!

We love the Kaysville Theater too! And I love that the kids are singing 80s music. Just can't beat that!

Confession...I've never been to the Kaysville Theater, nor did I even know about it. Where have I been? We'll have to give it a try!

Whoa-hoooa, living on a prayer! Awesome! We play guitar hero sometimes at the cousins house, and every time Nolan hears one of the songs on the radio, he yells, "Mom, it's Guitar Hero!"...like Guitar Hero is the name of the band. It's hilarious. Ode to 80's music.

That video is classic, what a smart idea to get your kids to love the same music you do, make them play guitar hero frequently. Looks like you have been having alot of fun lately. We need to have you guys up SOON!
