Over Presidents Day, we were able to go see Joe, Courtney & Camri in Vegas. Before I go on, I should let everyone know how much James and I don't like Vegas. We don't gamble, drink, shop that much, or enjoy "other forms of entertainment" so it isn't really our kind of town. BUT, it is where Joe is stationed so we go and visit them. We did go to In & Out Burger but that is the closest we came to the strip. We had a great time just hanging out! No pressures, no need to hurry and be anywhere, just talking, laughing, and being together! We did go to the Childrens Museum while we were there and it was really fun. They have some different exhibits than the Childrens Museum that we are used to. Here is a bubble exhibit that everyone loved:
There was a Clifford the Big Red Dog exhibit there and we got some really fun pictures. Take special notice of the last picture of the three:
So you will notice that James, Joe & Jeffrey are not in this picture BUT if you look in the far right background you will see why...We could not get them to leave the Giant Checkers game alone! They were obsessed! In the end, Joe won.
We went to a science show, Courtney, Joe & Julie all felt it was like to be in Hurricane force winds, and everyone had several tricks played on their eyes by some simple images! One highlight was Julie singing "Fabulous" from High School Musical 2 in the Kareoke parlor. On Sunday, we all went to church and we could tell they are an important part of their ward dynamic. We had such a great lesson in Relief Society! Jackson went to another primary like the champ he is, Julie had a little rougher time. The kids also loved spending time with Winston, the wonder dog:
Here is a picture taken two minutes before we left:
The kids all had a GREAT time together and Julie had Camri laughing so hard the entire time! I couldn't finish this post without posting a video that I took so everyone can see how big Camri is getting. First she is eating carrots and then, PRUNES! She actually likes them! Go figure! Thanks again Joe & Court, as always, you made us feel so welcome and we had a great time. We love you guys!
As a side note, all five of us just want to say, WELCOME HOME CHRIS! We are so proud of you and your service to our country. It has been sad not having you at our family gatherings with your witty comments, incredible laughter and peacemaking ways. We are so glad that you are on US soil, safe and sound! You made us proud as a family!!! Welcome home cousin!

That looks like you guys had a great time in Vegas. I was looking at the calender at work yesterday seeing when it would be best to take my fam down for our annual La Verkin trip. I love playing in that neck of the woods and we will definately have to make a trip to Vegas to see Court and Joe
Glad you had a good relaxing time. Hope you are doing well.
