Something extra....
It has been really stressful the last few months in our house. But through it all, I have had James by my side and I know I would not have survived without him. He is my rock (it sounds so cliche, I know). He's such a great father, is dedicated to anything he throws himself into (ex: running, biking, young mens) but most importantly, he is my best friend.
I often hear the comment from friends and family "Who doesn't love James?" and it's true. He has kept me from going into hysterics this summer with all that has happened.
I was so impressed with him on Trek and the way he handled not only himself but for the way he loved the youth in our family and in our ward. I don't know what I would have done without him at girls camp! This year it seemed like it was one drama after another (not with the girls!) and he was there to help me rearrange things to work out and he did so with a smile on his face.
The girls adored him up there and he was so great to take all their teenage girl silliness. James was great during Swiss Days! What guy goes up and helps his sister and wife for 3 days of women trying to grab whatever craft they can get their hands on.... Most importantly, he has been so great during the last month when things have seemed so dark some days. Those days in the hospital were some of the worst of my life and I know I couldn't have done it without his support. He is amazing and it is evident in everything he does! He treats everyone with such kindness and respect. A good friend once said, "James is a man of few words. But those he does speak, they're hilarious!" He is up for any challenge and even if he isn't the best at it, he NEVER gives up.
He never yells or gets too angry, unless it is indoor soccer or flag football, then there are no guarantees on him keeping his temper in check. He always wants to help the underdog and never is condescending to people. I am so blessed to be his eternal companion and I thank God for this blessing everyday.

I wasnt there long enough to get to know him. He sounds like a great guy!! Lucky girl. Too many times I am hearing lately is of divorce & couples complaining about each other. Im happy for you.
I'm so glad that you found me! Tim and I think of you gusy quite often... I hope that we can get together sometime and catch up. I can't believe how big all your kids have gotten.. Where does the time go!
Oh the stories I can tell about James. Some of them involve cans of speghetti-ohs and a spoon fashioned from tinfoil, other stories involve a stench that only 13 miles of intense snow shoeing could create, other stories involve lasagna that only I would eat and I no longer have any intestines to prove it. The best thing about James is his abillity to inspire with out saying a word. If it wasn't for James I would have never found running, something I truely love. I also discovered snowboarding and most importantly many great music groups. Lastly he has made me want to be better. Great post Jenny - Spot On!
We were excited to get your blog from James! I really love blogging and how everyone can stay in touch through it, it is great! James looks sooo good! I love the picture of him with the medal around his neck! That is awesome he runs in all those races! Steve is super jealous and hopes to start running in some races soon. They have a lot of them here in Victoria, so that is exciting! I love the picture you posted of my cutie, that was so long a ago, he looks so little!
