Tuesday was fun because we were able to go see Logan play in his soccer tournament. It was a fun game to watch because they played against a girls team. These girls were in it for blood and they meant business! Fortunately, Logan's team, Steam, won by 1 goal and they will play in the championship game next Tuesday.
On Wednesday we had the opportunity to go with Jonny, Jim & Lisa to do temple sealings. We went to the Ogden temple and it was a great experience for all of us. It's been fun to spend this extra time with Jonny these last few weeks since he will be leaving on Tuesday morning for two years.
Thursday was Zoe's Birthday party and we had a blast! To quote Zoe, "It was the Best Birthday Party Ever!" We went to Thanksgiving Point where the kids played two different games. One was a corral the animal game played with inflatable farm animals and a fly swatter (pretty funny to watch) and another was finding a toy in a haystack. They filled a plastic swimming pool with candy and toys to rifle through. The kids loved it. After opening presents and eating cake, the kids went outside for pony rides, a wagon ride, and to pet all the different animals they have. James really enjoyed the llamas! They had sheep, bunnies, goats, birds (yes, James was scared) horses, chickens, and lots of others. It was an experience I don't think the kids will ever forget. Afterwards, we were able to visit with Dad & Kaye. They watched Jeffrey for us during the party and it was nice to spend sometime with them.
Friday night we dyed our Easter Eggs. For as much as James loves Christmas, he HATES dying Easter Eggs. We still managed to have a good time and it was fun for the kids. They weren't about to let their grumpy dad ruin the night of fun!Saturday morning, James went 13 miles in his training for the Ogden Marathon. The kids are sick of hearing the words: vasoline, blisters, running shoes, and miles. James is doing great though and will run in the Marathon on May 19th! After that, we went to an Easter Egg Hunt that Davis County puts on for its employees. We were excited that Mom invited us and it was a lot of fun. They provided us with breakfast and an Easter Egg Hunt. We hope that Mom will invite us all next year.......hint......hint.....hint
That afternoon, James & I went with the Young Women and Young Men in our ward to do Baptisms for the Dead. This is always a great experience and we were able to do over 180 women names and 120 men names. Afterwards, James went with the missionaries so I brought the kids home and we had a long talk about what Easter really means. It is interesting to me how much children understand about the Atonement and how even at this early of an age, they appreciate what the Savior did for us.
Easter morning we did our egg hunt and got dressed up in Easter outfits that take way to long to plan and cost way too much! I have to say, they did look cute though. The pictures are the only ones we were able to get before we were late for church. Sounds like everyones Easter morning right? After church, we went to my moms for a Webster Easter party and it was fun to spend time with Marcie & Dan and their kids, my mom, Dave & Brandy and their crew, Eileen and of course, Little Grandma & Little Grandpa (Webster).
We hope everyone had a great Easter!!!!!!
